Henley Arts Trail
Henley Arts Trail is taking place over the first bank holiday weekend in May and once again Hurst is hosting one of the 34 venues.
For three days 150 artists will be showing paintings, sculpture, jewellery and ceramics.
Entry to all venues is free and they are open 10am-5pm.
Jonathan De Mounteney, Christina Taylor Smith, Manuela Kagerbauer and Liz Chaderton
will be displaying painting, printmaking and sculpture at
1 Whistley Court Farm, Lodge Road, Hurst, RG10 0EJ.

Hurst Pantomime Group

Panto AGM and Update Meeting
Critically, at this meeting Claire and Sue (joint Chairs)
will be standing down from their committee roles and we currently have no secretary.
As such, we will be looking for a new group of people to take on Panto.
We will also be looking for a Director, Producer and people to take on many of the other roles
critical to getting a Panto on stage.
Without a new committee stepping forward the 2024/25 Panto will not be able to go ahead.
We will of course, support anyone taking on the new roles.
We hope that you will be able to join us.

The Walnuts with Bells On

St.Nicholas Church
We will be raising funds for Alzheimer’s research and also funds to support St Nicholas Church.
A summer's evening of Celtic Funk, Folk and Americana, topped up with fun and games, with bells on!
We start in the Castle Inn at 6pm, to the sound of the fiddle and with Matt's very special pizzas for sale.
Then pick up your drinks, and wander over to the church, accompanied by the bells of St. Nicholas!
Take your seats for 7.30pm until you feel like dancing, and continue until the music stops, when it's back to the pub.
As well as at the Castle Inn, drinks will be available in church and you will be able to buy raffle tickets.

Marvellous Festival
Dinton Pastures Country Park
A weekend of tribute solo artists and bands,
silent disco, second stage with local acts, and much more.
The main stage features 14 world-class tributes, including
Blues Brothers, Queen, Taylor Swift, Tina Turner, The Police, U2, Adele, The Killers and more.

We invite you to try this enjoyable sport which is challenging without needing physical prowess.
This outdoor sport is enjoyed in dry or wet weather, as long as the green is safe and playable.

Hurst & Twyford Pub Runners
6:30pm
We meet every Tuesday at 6.30pm at a local pub and then run 5k back to the pub and have a social.
We cater for all abilities so don’t be shy.
We have a
Facebook group
with all the information so do join it.
It's very much a social and it's free to come,
but you do need some pennies for the drink!

Green Man
For £5 you will get tea or coffee and a snack and the company of others whose company you may well enjoy.
For those who wish, there will be cards, dominoes, crib, draughts, and other games.
Or you could just natter.
Bring your knitting or a crossword, if you like.

Hodge’s HIIT Session

In the park, opposite the pond, School Road
It involves a bit of fun, the sessions are designed to help develop your fitness,
and the activity is run by ex pupil Joshua Hodgkins –
Qualified level 3 Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor.
All ages and abilities are welcome, especially beginners!!!!
All that you need to bring is a mat, a water and gymwear

Hurst FC is a small friendly club running FREE football training sessions
on Saturday mornings.
Sessions are casual and fun, and open to boys and girls in Year 1 and 2.

In Hurst we are very lucky to have an amazing network of over
60 volunteers
available to offer help should you need it for shopping, collecting
medications or just someone to have a chat with during these difficult times.
If you would like to speak to us, or want to ask for help for yourself or a neighbour,
please view the

and we’ll see how we can help.
You can easily find volunteers in your area -
just select your road
or
click on a map.
Some volunteers have offered to have a chat on the phone,
some have offered to collect any medication and some to shop.
If the volunteer cannot help directly,
they can contact another volunteer for you.
Even if you’re self-isolating, you’re not alone.
